A Teaching School Hub event dedicated to supporting trainee teachers moving into the ECT year and ITT/ECT mentors

Find out more about what to expect in your ECT year, including an overview of the Early Career Framework, the role of the Appropriate Body in monitoring your progress and how to stay connected.

Existing and new ITT and ECT Mentors:

Find out more about how to support ITT’s/ECT’s developing subject knowledge. Learn from Dr Richard Kueh HMI who will give mentors background on the Ofsted Research Review series and will look at the big picture of subject based curricula. How do we as mentors stay up to date in the latest research to best support our ITTs/ECTs?

  • Alpha Teaching School Hub
    Teaching School Hub

    The Alpha Teaching School Hub is the main training and development co-ordinator for schools across Tendring, Ipswich, Colchester, and Babergh. It forms part of a new national network of 87 Teaching School Hubs: school-led centres of excellence dedicated to supporting teachers throughout their teaching career.

    Alpha Teaching School Hub is a collaborative network, working in partnership with schools, teacher training providers, local authorities, other Specialist hubs and Research Schools.

    ATSH plays a significant role in the delivery of:

    · The Early Career Framework (ECF)
    · Appropriate Body Commissioning
    · Developing Middle and Senior Leaders using National Professional Qualifications.

    Teaching School Hub

    We are committed to working in partnership with all Early Years providers, Primary, Secondary, Alternative Provision, Special Schools, Further and Higher Education providers and other stakeholders in our region.

We want every teacher, school leader and wider school staff to have the best professional development that they can.
