Talk to teachers in the classroom at a School Experience day

We are delighted that  a number of our partnership schools are offering School Experience days across Suffolk and Norfolk. School experience is no longer a requirement before making a teacher training application but just like any career, it is essential that you as a prospective trainee teacher  understand what it is like to be teacher working in a secondary or primary school. Our partnership schools are very keen to 'open their doors' to prospective trainee teachers to help you make an informed decision about whether teaching is the right career for you.

You don't have to attend any of these days before you submit an application to a teacher training provider so you can attend one or more during your application process. You don't have to be applying to Suffolk and Norfolk SCITT to attend these days or complete your training with us, we are just offering the school experience days as a way of helping any potential trainee learn more about the career of being a teacher.

The best people to explain what teaching is like are teachers in the classroom and that is why we encourage to you to take up this offer of attending one or more of our school experience days so you can talk to current practising teachers about why you should start your career in teaching.
